My first solo international trip was sparked by a huge shift in my work life. After many years of chasing carrots on my career path I decided I was done. It was time to take a big leap and create my own path. I quit my job and bought a one way plane ticket to London.
Without a set itinerary, I ended up exploring Western Europe. And while I had traveled internationally before, this trip was my first solo adventure of this size and [needless to say] it was a life changing experience in every way.
I spent the time in reflection of the past, brainstorming/planning for the future all while taking in the gorgeous sites. I knew I wanted to be location independent [so I could work while traveling this beautiful world of ours], I knew I wanted to be dangling-carrot free, and most importantly I knew I needed to find a way to inspire others to do both.
This was my solo Western Europe backpacking route [starting @ home = Southern California] to: London, Greenwich, Amsterdam, Brussels, Antwerp, Bruges, Paris, Bordeaux, Lourdes, Cauterets, Barcelona, Granada, Seville, Madrid
